Cymbidium Orchids (boat orchids)

Cymbidiums are the most popular, easiest grown, & best known of all orchids.

Cybidiums are a great favourite with florists. They have large bulbs & long leaves produced from side shoots. They then send up an upright raceme of flowers sometimes to a height of 90cms.

Cymbidiums are vVery easy to grow and hard to kill. They will need repotting into fresh orchid bark annually – removing old dead roots at the same time.

Cymbidiums grow well with handfuls of organic chicken pellets – they are heavy nitrogenous feeders.

Cymbidiums come in a wide range of colours.

The Asian hybrids are popular with specialist growers.
